I Have Posted These Before But I Needed A Reminder For Myself

"Lord I'm tired
So tired from walking
And Lord I'm so alone
And Lord the dark
Is creeping in
Creeping up
To swallow me
I think I'll stop
Rest here a while

And didn't You see me cry'n?
And didn't You hear me call Your name?
Wasn't it You I gave my heart to?
I wish You'd remember
Where you sat it down
And this is all that I can say right now
And this is all that I can give

I didn't notice You were standing here
I didn't know that
That was You holding me
I didn't notice You were cry'n tooBold
I didn't know that
That was You washing my feet"

Its Another Not Me Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

I did not procrastinate my bible study homework until this last day and have to do it at the the last possible second.
I did not just shut my bathroom and bedroom door rather than clean it up for my company that was coming over.
I did not ruin my third pecan pie and I most certainly did not eat it even though it was all runny and soupy.
I did not almost rip off my big toenail trying to vacuum in reverse. That is silly, what kind of woman does that. Certainly Not Me!
I did not take a picture of the fountain in Town Center with all the bubbles in it and laugh hysterically about it...nope not me because that would be juvenile.
And finally I did not misspell VACUUM in this Not Me post! And I did not misspell MISSPELL either!

Time To Get Serious....Again

I never thought I would say this, but the first 45 lbs. were easy. I have most definitely hit a plateau and it is time for me to get serious in my weight loss again. I have been maintaining the loss of the original 45 I lost, but I still have at least another 45 to go. My motivation has gone away, it is hard to be on a "diet" for your whole life. But if I want to lose the rest of my weight then I need to get back on my "diet" and hit the pavement for some exercise. My plan is to start keeping my food diary, exercising at least 3 days a week, doing my pilates 5 days a week, no fast food, cutting back on my Dr. Pepper intake, and trying to keep a positive self image. These are my goals at least, hopefully I will jump start some new weight loss.

Life Updates

- My mom and I started a bible study last night. I am super excited about it. It is Beth Moore's study of Esther and I have never done a Beth Moore study before so I can't wait to see what God is going to teach me through it.

- I got my hair cut today and of course it looks really cute. I hate spending a hundred bucks on my hair but I am going to do it while I can. I'm sure when I have kids my hundred dollar haircuts will go out the window!

- The Unit and I are trying to plan a girls weekend but finances are playing a part and that sucks....oh well...we will see.

That's all for now!

A Little Piece Of Me

The fullness of Your grace is here with me
The richness of Your beauty’s all I see
The brightness of Your glory has arrived
In Your presence God, I’m completely satisfied
For You I sing I dance
Rejoice in this divine romance
Lift my heart and my hands
To show my love, to show my love
A deep deep flood, an Ocean flows from You
Of deep deep love, yeah it’s filling up the room
Your innocent blood, has washed my guilty life
In Your presence God I’m completely satisfied
Phil Wickham- Divine Romance
Wow, to be completely satisfied. That is something that I really struggle with, but I know that my satisfaction lies wholly in the the grace of God and His undying love for me. The Lord has saved me, and I am so thankful my life will be used for His glory. I need to seek the satisfaction that can only be felt from His presence and rejoice in it.
Lightning breaks around Your throne
Streams of Glory bursting from your robe
You are the God in Heaven
Voices sing Your endless praise
All who see you bow for countless days You are the God in heaven
Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord, God almighty
Worthy Worthy, Worthy is the Lamb
The only one who was and is and will come
Phil Wickham- Holy Holy Holy
And Lord, here this as my prayer.
Oh who am I that Your merciful eyes should fall on me
A sinner a fool, who doesn’t deserve You
And what am I that you’d offer Your life and die for me
What can I do, I’m nothing without You, I’m nothing without You
I’m nothing without You my love, my saving love
So I fall into You, I’m desperate and weak
Crying out from my heart, take all of me
How can it be that the heart of my God would long for me
For all that You do, Jesus I love You, I’ll Always Love You
Jesus I love You with all of my heart
Maker of sun and moon and stars
I throw myself into Your arms, into Your arms
Phil Wickham- Fall Into You

Oh The Pictures

All of the sudden I have become a picture-aholic on my blog. Honestly, I think I'm trying to avoid any real emotions or thoughts. Posting pictures is easy. Putting raw emotions out there is not so easy. But stick with me y'all, deal with the pictures for a while longer. Substance will return soon enough... I hope. :)

I will leave y'all with this little piece of news: Jesse McCartney is coming to Houston for a Valentines Day concert. I can't help it...I lurve him. His music is my guilty pleasure that I will deny listening to if anyone ever asks. ;-)

Edited to add: After a text conversation with my Unit (best friend, Laura), it looks like she may be my "Valentine's Date" to the concert! She is such a good bestie!

A Little Pink For A Miracle Baby

A grieving family asked that those in the blogosphere to wear pink today in honor of their miracle daughter, Magdalena. Today this family is celebrating the life of Magdalena, so stop by and let this family know that you will say a prayer for them.

You Know What Sucks....

  • Having to clean out your recently deceased loved one's apartment.
  • Finding letters from your recently deceased grandmother (in her handwriting) in your recently deceased grandfather's apartment.
  • Losing 2 of your grandparents in a 3 month period.

But you know what doesn't suck....

  • Knowing Mawmaw was waiting in Heaven to welcome Pops to the party.
  • Knowing Mimi was probably pushing Mawmaw out of the way to be the first one to hug Pops.
  • Knowing that I will see them all one day when I get my VIP pass to the party in Heaven.

Oh No Not Me!

Yes it is that time again, y'all.

I did not just take down my Christmas decorations yesterday.
I did not wear heels and a new Ralph Lauren sweater to the Boat Show just in case, you know... ;-)
The best part of the boat show was not the pet accessory lady.
I did not take down my Christmas lights off my patio and just leave them outside because I was too cold to put them in a box.
I did not post an ad on Craigslist for the first time and then get really nervous about some crazy person buying my TV armoire.
And I did not write the post on Sunday and schedule it to publish on Monday :-)
Nope not me I didn't do any of those things.

If You Need A Good Cry or Some Perspective

Then you must go here.

Angie and her video about her daughter is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

Her faith and trust in God's plan is astounding and inspiring.

Go check out Bring the Rain.

Life Lesson

When exiting the car wash at a gas station, it is not ok to take a hundred years to leave the stall. Yes I know you want your car to dry but that does not mean the rest of us should have to wait.

Come on go to a "real" carwash if a dry job is that important! There is a line of people that want their $5 wash.

Face it your car will never be dry after leaving one of those things!

Blackberry, aka Crackberry

I have reserved judgment on our president-elect. But I will admit that I did not vote for Obama. However my feelings towards our nation's new president may be changing.

Today I read on CNN.com that Presidet-elect Obama is fighting with the lawyers and secret service about giving up his Blackberry during his term(s) as president. Apparently Mr. Obama is nursing a pretty serious Crackberry habit and doesn't think he should have to give that up.

I have to respect the man that: 1) he admits his deep affection for his Blackberry and 2) wants to hold onto just a piece of his former "normal" life. I, too, am addicted to my Crackberry so I can sympathize with the president.

I say that President-elect Obama should keep fighting for his inalienable right to feed his Crackberry addiction.

The Obama Blackberry should be welcome in the White House just like everything else!

Long live Blackberry addictions!

I Am Weary

Matthew 11:25-30
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
